In this report, results obtained with organisms belonging to different phyla, at different levels of biological complexity and of the trophic chain, have been summarized. Algae Dunaliella tertiolecta, Tetraselmis suecica, Isoscrysis galbana, bacteria Vibrio fischeri crustacean Artemia salina, echinoids Paracentrotus lividus, and fishes Sparus auratus, Dicentrarchus labrax were tested for their sensitivity to the antifouling biocides Irgarol and Diuron
